i have a playbook that i had unlocked and can not get 2.1.x loaded on it. Any help would be appreciated.

There's a post down there somewhere about this very topic.

The conclusion of that post was that 2.1 is not yet available for the PB4G due to the need for carrier approval of the OS upgrade.

If there were an OS update available, from the 2.0.1.668(?) you have, your PB would alert you of that fact.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

STOP PRESS... it seems that getting a Canadian Rogers SIM will allow you to update... even if you are not in Canada... see here... http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...way-do-764239/ good luck.

No it doesn't need to be activated but you do need the sim card and wifi
