It is possible ! There is a topic about it somewhere. Just search the forum for 'creating symlink'

You can use BGShellPlus to access the BlackBerry PlayBook. Once launched you can locate the ln (el en) command under /base/bin. Beware you might need superuser (root) permissions which is not possible by default. There is no 'su' or 'sudo' command to switch user profile.
I think BGShellPlus is an ssh client, which means you can use it as a shell for other servers, but it doesn't give access to the playbook itself unless you have root access (in which case you can use it to connect to the playbook's ssh server.)
The Konsole app posted in response to my question in the other thread is a local console for the playbook. Using it, you can simply use ln -s as you would on any *nix system. You do not need root to run Konsole, and you do not need root to create symbolic links within the shared directory or subdirs.
Thanks folks. I went and looked further after the post and found xsacha's Konsole app. It worked well - kudos.
BGShellPlus provides a local terminal in which you can navigate through the underlying BlackBerry Tablet OS found under subdirectory /base.
Is Konsole a native application or a ported Goggle Android application?
android, to be sideloaded.
I searched for bgshell plus and all i found was info about an ssh client.
I then found BGshell - no plus - in app world and installed it. It looks and works exactly the same as konsole.
Both appear to be native ports of a QT console app running /bin/sh.
No idea if they are actually the same app or simply two ports of the same app, but both are free and appear to work.
Xsacha's Konsole is qnx native. Your info is incorrect.
