Sorry if it's been asked and answered but when they were demoing the phone remote it sounded like the options were tied to using your phone. Is it not in the 2.0 OS?

What you saw was unique to the use of the "remote" feature, where using the phone keyboard means the auto-text features (e.g. how he entered some 3-letter code and it spewed out a bunch of canned text) on the phone get used.
The PlayBook itself, at least when used without the remote phone keyboard feature, will definitely have spell-checking and the auto-text and contextual predictive correction features.
