Yes, I know this is another 2.1 page. But this one addresses a different aspect of 2.1. I have noticed that most Playbook accessories (cases) have a picture of a Playbook on the box. But if you look at it, your see that there are slight variations. The notification bar buttons have changed. There is a search button. The videos app has a blue icon, the pictures app is blackberry bubbles. And the app divisions are back. It looks more like os 1, except that it has the Calender, messages, and contacts app. Is this what 2.1 will look like?

Really old photo, Pre OS 2.x.x, Plus if I remember correctly, the Bridge Messages and the 2.0 Native Messages have either the exact same icon or they're very very similar.

Here's it is, I'm on 2.1.0.840

It's pretty much the same as 2.0, I see no difference.

I know. I have the beta too. I just saw that picture and wondered what it was. I got my playbook and instantly installed the 2.0 beta. so I never used or saw the os 1.0

I think that photo was an mock up from a long time ago just used for marketing. Probably before the PB was even released. RIM isn't going back to the named app panes. I think we aren't seeing any major UI changes until BB10 for the PlayBook.
