i am running PB OS 2.1.0.1314 have been for a while but over the last couple of days my PB has been turning off at random times. i have done a security wipe but it is still happening battey levels have been between 55-75%, it is even happening whilst i am using apps. i have used the search button but have failed to find asolution.

Perform a backup of your PlayBook with the BlackBerry Desktop Software and reinstall de PlayBook OS via the Desktop Software.
If it don't fix it, call support for RMA.

I got exactly the same issue from a couple of months just after latest OS update. The shutdown is random and does not depend from battery level (I monitored that!). It is a software issue, not hardware. It happens also when the PB is in standby for long time, when I try to wake up it is turned off. I also reinstalled the OS after wipe but the issue is still there! I was waiting for other users to highlight the issue but it seems that not many are affected, this is the first relevant post. Anyone got an idea how to solve?

Hope somebody had a solution... also having this problem recently. Tried wiping several times as well as debrick through DM... please help..

It seems that debrick doesn't work. Anyway, how is carried out the debrick ?

I am always losing wifi since last update....none of my other devices lose wifi, and my PB did't do it prior to the update....

I still having this annoying issue. I start to think that could be battery related, in the sense that battery drop (probably because it start to be defective!) and software respond with shutdown. I was also considering to replace the battery but its cost is quite considerable, I could buy a used PB. Anyone tried battery replacement ?

Forget to add that any time that PB random shutdown, when switched on the wifi is always off. The bluetooth instead is as left.

if your on 2.1.0.1314 update to 2.1.0.1526. I've had no issues at allon 1526 its been a fantastic update despite a lot of people saying tje update was bad I have had no issues. that's not to say that those who have problems are liars.

maybe I'm just lucky.....maybe ?
