I went to London this weekend and took some nice vids.
Since it's captured from the inside of a cabin, some dots, reflects and distortion may appear, that are not due to the Playbook but to the curved window.
I was quite impressed, as the conditions were quite difficult; facing sun, high contrasts ...
But I didn't had my Sony HD camcorder and still, I'm happy with the result (eventually, you'll have to set the 1080p option n the youtube settings)

I'm not familiar with whatever that contraption is you guys are standing inside... Nice video though... a bit murky but between mist (?), glare from the sun, and standing behind glass/plastic, I guess there was a lot working against full clarity.

That may be true, but as far as phones and tablets, etc. The PB comes out ontop in terms of video quality, and microphone quality. That is a huge plus for me, the microphone records everything thing crisp and clear as shown in the video. And the video is pretty crystal clear for a tablet imo, definitely ranked number 1 for me in those area. I have owned a Transformer, Iconia A500, iPad 1 and iPad 2. And various number of phones, they do not compare to this at all.
Considering the difficult conditions, and the fact that the Playbook isn't actually a purpose-built video recorder...that is all quite fine. Thanks for posting. [That's the Millennium Wheel in London, BTW].
