Try checking for updates when you have a SIM in the Playbook. I had a problem activating a new PlayBook and when I put a SIM in, it seemed to find the update server and get the full OS. When I later security wiped this PlayBook, I was in the same situation, missing all the Apps. I think I had to do a debrick to get all the apps back.

I'm looking for the full OS autoloader as well. I want to set back an archive of it (and some of the bbry links are already dead - and most of the links early on in this thread are as well...sigh)

R1283 means 2.1.0.1283 radio (for the 4G PlayBooks). The other one has no radio, for the WiFi PlayBook.

Goodness! Just turn on my PB. For the first time again. It has been in a box for nearly 3 years now. After updating to its latest OS version. The PB is still sluggish and way outdated. I believe even the cheapest android tablet that you could purchase from walmart is way faster than this one. An amazing device but too bad blackberry just toss it around and garbage it. I don't understand why there are still paid apps for this. Should be all free since the tablet is nearly nick of time to its instinctions. OK My dear PB go back to the box I have no use for you. If I try to sell you, you would probably cost a penny. But I'll keep you, I'll ld on to you for another 3 years.
