Grab pdfreader (0.99). It's a Qt port, and it works great. There's search function as well, and I think bookmarking is coming...

I've had several nuisances with 2.1 Beta.
    1) YouTube.com doesn't play videos.
    2) My camera pictures' names have reset to 1 and are now at the end of the camera roll. Also, it's overwriting existing photos as new pictures with the same name are added.
    3) Emails with picture attachments don't download properly. Say the email contains five different pictures, I get the first picture come up four times and maybe one other picture shows up. The rest of the pictures aren't downloaded and it seems impossible to download due to the replication of the first picture.

    Removed the beta Sunday.

    1. Bridge slowed way down. Was unusable with this beta, Internet wise..
    2. Bleed through when multitaking Droid apps.
    3. No Bridge SMS as I thought there was supposed to be in 2.1.

I know, it's a Dev beta. But it is not worth the trouble or the time installing unless
    you are a Dev.

Back to the official 2.01 and running solid and stable. (but without SMS still!!!!!)

As a user, I think i'll roll back. Ive run into a few glitches that is just an annoyance to me.

The messages app is very flawed, it's not stable. In the browser i've had the keyboard freeze up where it takes no input. Android app player seems slower. the whole os seems slower

Love it. For the few functions I use my pb it's a day and night difference.

    OS is faster/snappier

    Wifi no longer crashes

    Web pages load faster

Haven't noticed any 'bugs', but as I indicated I don't overwork my tablet.

    Default Pleased with 2.1 beta

Overall, I am very pleased with the OS 2.1 beta. Android apps are much more stable and appear to run as smoothly as native apps. QPDF in particular is running well and had the best features of any PDF Reader I have tried, including opening multilinked documents such as the Table of Contents of a large ebooks where each chapter is an separate document but in the same directory. QPDF also has a file browser that enables navigation of the directory structure. Overdrive media reader also is working well and stable. The multiple folder support for IMAP accounts is very good and now my sent email goes to my Sent folder on the IMAP server. Battery life is about the the same as previous OS version, although the email set to MANUAL SYNC bug still causes rapidly battery drain and playbook to heat up.

Some initial glitches with You Tube and flash videos (also reported by others) in the Web browser were fixed by turning off javascript and flash, restarting the Web browser, wiping all cache, restarting Web browser, and then turning javascript and flash back on.

Calling all beta users: please give feedback that browser bookmark management is an absolute must!

I dont really care about portrait email but the browser is the thing you use most so it would be nice to have such logical features as bookmark mgmt and more browser options.

Probably the most important feature improvement but completely over-looked. How can anyone claim this is a satisfactory upgrade with this glaring omission is beyond me. I guess this type of complacency is what brought RIM to the point they're at today.

    Yes...you're absolutely right.

IMHO either of these two are far more useful and important than portrait email/contacts.

Let's hope those things were left out and will be in the official. Please! They left things out of the last dev beta and even some of the apps etc.

i experienced issues after i installed but after a reboot everything was fine all except i notice some keyboard lag from time to time.still haven't found a app that its broken yet.

overall im happy and looking forward to the official with the extra things that were withheld whatever they might be. I also love the new portrait pim apps, you can see how its taking on a blackberry10-ish look and feel ,with the trays sliding in from the right. Very nice indeed.
    I waited...It launched...Im still waiting...

Smile Not intend to upgrade soon...

I have the 2.0.1.358 installed in my playbook. Have 139 apps installed, of which 75% are android sideloaded apps, 3 or 4 aren't working and jut crashed or won't run. The rest are perfectly fine. Of course, Skype and other video capable apps are missing in my list. I hope to get video calling apps soon, if Skype wouldn't be available in the 2.1.

I had a problem with not getting notified when a new email came in, no led flashing and no sound. Definitely a bug as a friend with another playbook had the same issue thats why i went back to 2.0.1.

I only have one keyboard issue, otherwise I'm very sattisfied with the beta, android multitasking is epic and overall android performance is way better so I find myself spending more time with Android apps than previously

Not sure if anyone uses android twitter app as their main app, but I do use tweetcaster all the time.

The problem is, shortly after upgraded to OS2.1, the android browser didn't work under bridged connection. So it becomes very annoying to have to copy link from tweetcaster and paste in native browser.

Then I did a security wipe, it works again BUT now under wifi connection, it gives me error 503 transport not supported. Works under bridge though.

This is very weird and I opened a thread in Playbook subforum, but no one actually have the same problem as mine so it's not solved yet I really hate to wipe again.
