Increase Free Memory
I noticed some of my open apps kept crashing as I opened new ones, and noticed that my free memory would get really low then jump back up after an app had crashed in the background. After reboot my free memory is around 590 but haven't opened anything. After a couple days of regular usage, it hangs around 390.
What's the best way to increase the free memory without having to reboot every time?

There was an app out there called memory eater or something in the appworld which is not free I guess. There is another similar app in the OpenSourceBB app manager too which is free ( sorry can't remember name) you can sideload..
Their primary purpose was to kill the Android player by hogging memory.. This should in theory kill any running app which isn't a system app. And yes it will kill all the running apps at that moment you don't get a choice..

I have the app memory eater on my playbook, it's only a few bucks or a buck can't remember. It really works. after running the app my ram is up to 650 -670 free.

Free memory is wasted memory.

I've found I gain around 100MB free RAM (from 540-550 to 630-660 free) by stoping the Android player when not in use, very cool for browsing without clearing the cache every 2 minutes!
Only drawback: it takes around 30s to re-start Android player when you launch an Android ported app...

3 ways to kill the player :
- Open many huge apps in a row, until PlayBook OS closes Android player to make room...
- Or sideload last free version of Android Reset (Overload) from: http://www.filearchivehaven.com/down...t_1.0.0.13.bar
- Or buy Memory Eater or the last version of Overload from official AppWorld
