Posted this in the beta findings thread but thought I would make it mainstream just to see if anyone else can check.

On the 2.1.0.840 beta, when on the browser, type Gmail.com and the browser crashes. Email works fine through the native app but trying to reach the web based version doesn't.

Anyone else have the issue?

I've had this occasionally, clear cache and local storage in browser settings, you might also need a reboot.

I have the exact same thing on my wifi 16GB Playbook, simply use the built in messages app, you cannot revert the os so we're going to wait for next update.

Update: I cleared cache and local storage and now I get Gmail in browser without the browser closing!

Cleared cache and it worked.

I was seeing that on Twitter. I fixed it by going into browser settings then cleared cache and local storage.
