    Default Caps Lock always?

From the moment I am using the playbook one question always baffled me....
How do I type any word in eg " CAPS "
Each time do I need to press the up arrow key for each letter, or is there any solution?

Hehe I had to google how to do that a couple of months ago when I got my PB. I thought it would be the same buttons as bb phones.

Heh. When I first looked at the keyboard I had this same problem. I tried pressing shift twice (as this is what I do on my phone). Didn't work. Tried holding and that worked.
It seems to lock in place.

Not a dumb question at all. What would have been dumb is if you came in here ranting how the Playbook sucks because you can't type in all CAPS without checking first. There are a lot of people who complain about Blackberry saying...it doesn't do this, it doesn't do that...only because they neglected to ask.

The only DUMB query is "should I get an iPhone or a Android?"

Seriously, folks coming here to ask questions about their BB phones or PlayBooks allows the CrackBerry members to relive their learning experience - keep coming back and ask any question that comes to mind - i meet need the answer, too.

    Believe me......
There's a general notion where I reside that the playbook sucks...
It just a victim of bad publicity. Crackberry was the Site which actually made me reach to a conclusion of buying the playbook...
When I explained to my friends the capabilities that the playbook hold and a bit of demonstration they were also eager to get one..
Believe me when I say that we bought around 30 tabs in a span of 3 days..... That's the kind of impression that I am talking about . And all satisfied ,proud playbook customers.
Come on RIM give me the development bb 10 phone.... Hahahahaha

Mostly what the playbook sucks at is the peculiar app situation and RIM strange decisions eg not activating usb on the go or app world only over Wifi etc
The tablet HW wise is topnotch and so is the OS which will only get better with bb10

HEY EVERYONE, there's a better way than holding your finger on the shift key for CAPS. Simply press shift and slide your finger left to the bezel, that is the proper way to use CAPS lock.

Actually just hold shift for few seconds and the border turns blue.... Which means that the shift key is locked for CAPS

It's slightly off topic, but when using the browser keyboard, if you hold down the .com key, it will give you other common domain names: .org .gov .ca .net. I love the PlayBook keyboard, but I just miss the autotext and shortcuts from the phones.
