There are a few apps that come with the OS install that I'd like to just get rid of...can I do this without the Software Update reinstalling them right away? Or ever?

This is an old story that goes back to OS1.
When native apps were deleted they came back with a mini OS update restore.
Now with OS2, at least we can make a 'hide' folder and 'bury' those apps we do not want to see
I doubt that the 'native apps' will ever be able to be deleted; some might be 'paid for' by their developers.
