I have had this error since the first beta version of 2.1 the prb isthat i cant contact rim as i live in egypt i bought this device a year ago from america i cant send it for repair
Did anybody has solution for this prob like debrik or anything???

From the various threads, it sounds as if the only real fix is to send the pb to rim for repair. Can you arrange through a US/Canadian or maybe European friend?

Or try a long distance call and see what they say?

The PB has a one year warranty to the original purchaser. It also has 90 free Tech support. I do not know how Rim deals with "quasi-tech support v. warranty"

I have tried downgrading.. Doesn't help..
Call RIM support from what I heard they are happy to help even if you are out of warranty..
I'll be calling them tomorrow

GreyGhostRos, let me know what RIM says. I don't want to waste precious money calling long distance if all I am going to get is bad customer service....

I have the same thing...I already said goodbye to my camera app. Before 2.0.1 it was working without any problem, after the update, it just died

You have to call them, the email is a hit and a miss.

This is only a quess but is it possible that you could have dropped your playbook?

Only reason I ask is that I remember reading people having problems with phones and the camera not working when they have dropped them and this was the reason.

something to do with the camera slipping out of place or something

I have a 32 gb blackberry playbook and also had the camera 4003 error code and I managed to correct the camera by holding the power and + button together which rebooted the tablet and fixed the camera error

I tried this but i didn't have luck i held power and vol up but it didn't restart the device only powered off

I had the same error message this evening and got a bit worried by all those posters saying its a hardware error. Tried a hard reset and camera is now functioning as normal. ( Press the power and both volume buttons simultaneously )
