Over the weekend I was working on a website that is accessible internally and externally using different IP addresses. On the internal network the domain name is somedomain.local and on the external network the domain is somedomain.ca. On the BlackBerry PlayBook when connected to the internal network I must use the IP address of the web server because somedomain.local keeps taking me to google.ca with somedomain.local as the search criteria. When I use the IP address the website displays correctly. Does the BlackBerry PlayBook web browser block *.local? On the notebook computer the somedomain.local website loads properly when connected to the internal network.

RIM needs to BUY Opera before Apple, Microsoft does. For tech, and patents.
