That's probably a code-name, like the BlackBerry Meteor, Javelin or Orion.

BB puts out all kinds of gadgets (the mini speaker is odd). Why wouldn't they do this too?

The cost of developing, marketing and supporting a tablet is huge. And they're up against big competitors who can afford to sell at breakeven or a loss, command higher margins or distribute through their own channels. Tough gig.

yea they have to restructure the os for a tablet. the phone os on a tablet would be a tad hideous in my opinion.
we don't need the hub the way it is in bb10 for phones our messaging app works wonderfully

could you please point me to the part where he said the current gen playbook is dead ?
Thor said that all current gen playbooks will get BB10 and Thor's attitude has been that of integrity through and through and this article shows a lot of it.

I believe if Thor said its coming its coming, also he cannot affort to tarnish his reputation of integrity now not only as a person but as a CEO of a publicly trading company !

Like I said, I want to believe and want to have BB10 on my PlayBook but if I were CEO it wouldn't be anywhere near the top of a priority list. They're not selling PlayBooks anymore. Putting BB10 on old hardware will not get them flying off the shelf again.

I really like both of those games. There really are a ton of great games for the PB (forget that there's emulators for a bunch of systems), but machinarium was just somethin' else for me.. Those graphics, the story, everything about it just did it for me. I really hope we see more like that

no one knows when but I can tell you when NOT. not any time before nor near the time of the US launch of the BB10 phones. I love my Playbook. but it has a negative reputation with pretty much all the press. blackberry is not wanting to mention it. not right now.

Notice you have "Crackberry User" as your "tag" but you only have 23 posts (and counting) so eventually, you too will get a "Crackberry Abuser" tag attributed to you too. With more posts, a new tag will be given to you automatically depending on your post total.

They are most definitely still selling PlayBooks. It has taken a back seat in that they are not actively promoting or trying to sell through expensive retail channels but the business has not been shut down.
