I'm a UK user and if I select UK as the language in system settings then the audio boost option is not visible. However, if I select US in the language settings then the audio boost option is there. I'm pretty sure that it has something to do with the European Union setting rules regarding volume settings on portable audio devices as they seem to think we can't use our judgement as to what is loud and not good for us and what ain't.
