Here is how to fix the annoying email login request that plagues the PlayBook. Under Settings, go to Accounts. And for both Server Address and SMTP Server Address, add "rim." at the beginning of each address, exactly as shown and only what is in quotations, not the quotations too. Seems that RIM s new server for BB10 works for the PlayBook too.

You can't use @blackberry.net addresses on a OS10 device, so the short answer is no.

    Thanks! Nerdydaddyo!
    Worked like a charm.
Seems to improve the speed of retrieval also.

The Playbook isn't an OS10 device. I don't know if that means @blackberry.net addresses work or not.

But the new RIM servers are for OS10 devices. So since the servers have been set up for some email domains, @blackberry.net isn't expected to be one of them.

If you let the pb set up a yahoo address it defaults to rim.yahoo.ca
