Ok, it's 5am you've got 30 minutes before you have to leave for work and you have noticed THE download symbol that's sat there on your playbook winking at you. At a reported 400Mb download do you go for it or not, bearing in mind that there will some settings to do and that you will not see another wi-fi signal for 12 hours.
What are you downloading to? OS2.0 isn't out yet, and if you just haven't bothered to update to 1.0.8.6067 then it shouldn't matter if you have to wait another day...

Shew, right over your head..
And I would DL it, and install on the road lol and hope to god that any settings if needed (don't se why any would) can be done by tethering lol

It is of course a theoretical question for next week.
Quick call to boss." My car wont start (cause I am not in it) I will let you know when I am on the road. Probably take me an hour or two to figure this out."
Then here comes 2.0
But since my department has its own private WiFi connection (we have to "test" on the public network from time to time, doncha know?), I guess I'd just bring it with me and show off to all my co-workers
No. I'll wait until after work to come back home and read CrackBerry to make sure there are no problems downloading the update or any issues with the update itself.
If you are important they will wait, download then go to work( Ive hit the 4 hour mark for being late before but i had much better reason than this, not that my boss bothered to ask, just "good, your here "

Oh, please. There are never any problems with rim software. Look, they just produced a perfect Desktop Manager 7.x after years of trying. Oh, wait, you say, it was not perfect. Hmmmm...............

my sentiments exactly; i'll more than likely wait 2 or 3 days cause undoubtedly we'll start seeing threads about "this and that doesn't work..." then we'll have several updated from rim. patience is a virtue.
Well, there is Wifi where I work too so not an issue. And I really can't just call off so here's my solution:
Call up sprint, enable mobile hotspot for a day for $.99 on my 9930 and download it on the go!
I get in when I get in, paid to do a job not so much tracked in hours so it does not apply. Pretty lucky in that regard so I guess I would look and see what is on my plate for the day and do the upgrade then go in to the office, or drive fast and upgrade once there.
