Should I buy the PlayBook now, or wait till January 30th to see if they will announce a new one? If BB10 is a success, will PlayBook prices go up, or down?

Personally, I think it will be a while yet before there is a new PlayBook. We still have yet to see the LTE PlayBook hit the US stores and right now all energy is geared toward BB10.

So if I were you and the only thing keeping you from getting the current PlayBook is the possibility of a newer PlayBook, I'd say grab the current one as the prices can't be beat.

LTE PLAYBOOK will hit the U.S when it comes with BlackBerry10 out of the box.

OP get a Playbook now. You will never find a finer piece of hardware for the price.

I suggest you buy it now if you want one... There might be a new tablet from RIM (not sure if they will call it playbook) only if BB10 becomes a success to put RIM back on to the path to profitability... Right now they are loosing a lot... So it will be at least an year before you see a new tablet from RIM, if at all you do...

I love my playbook as much as my car, don't leave home without either. That being said go on and buy 1,2 even 3 with the prices they are selling for. I bought my PB home on the release date of 4/19/2011 and to this day it is the best I have used. I tried another tablet while waiting for the PB release and it was crap.
