Do you think the current platform PBs will remain at $199/249/299? What do you project for prices for the next generation (4G, PB2, etc.) PBs?

IMO these prices won't change, otherwise the sales will stall completely. RIM already announced that these prices will remain, although I believe they will try to up them once a new tablet comes out. By that time hopefully the app situation will improve and they will be able to risk it.

$199 for a 16 GB playbook is a super deal

Future next-gen playbooks will be more expensive

    agreed
current prices are steal, so I stole Playbook #2 from Cowboom a couple weeks ago

I don't need 4G or any other specs the New Playbook will add/improve, Bridge has been more than adequate for me

I think the price will have to remain the same. The quad core android tablets being released under $400 pretty much makes rim have to leave the price. 1 thing that will never change is the market for new hardware. Everything equal quads will out sell duals all day long. Its going to take the rare buyers that will pay the same or more for a dual core PB. Just not enough of the rare buyers Im afraid.
