Default Will GMail contacts and calendar work?

When RIM releases the native Contacts, Calendar, and email for the Playbook will GMail, contacts, calendar, and email work on the Playbook just like they do on my Bold? Will Google have to release a version for Playbook? How will we sync contacts and calendar on Playbook with the Bold?

what do you expect google to release? my bold sync's contacts with google by itself, without any applications what so ever. i think nothing would be needed for pb either.

Just asking because I have 1500 customer names that I will need on the Playbook and was wondering how it would work.

I really hope RIM will get their act together soon and bring out some "professional grade" apps, including GMail integration with mail, calendar and contacts. That also of course includes the option to EDIT forwarded mail before sending - and copy/paste ...

As it stand now - I cannot ask anybody to purchase the device, unless they look for an overpriced MP3 player that can browse many web pages.

Its cheaper to purchase a laptop

How can they market the thing as "professional grade" tablet?
What is the "professional" they talk about?

Without Apps, the Playbook is like a car without gasolin... useless

Have tried to call RIM support a few times with some of my Playbooks issues, but the people they have sitting there answering support calls, either speaks so heavy dialects that they are difficult to understand, they also dont seem to care about being understood... Or - they have no clue about what they are doing support on.... referring to web articles that has nothing to do with the issue at all... It sounded good with 90 days free support - but - its better to talk with the wall...

Please RIM - we need some answers - NOW - What are the plans? Which things are being fixed and when? What features are we to see - and when?

If you need help tell us - come out from the closet and tell us what's it all about - what you are struggling with - perhaps someone out here can help you solve the problems....
