    Default WiFi in Regan Airport

My playbook can see the free WiFi at DCA (Regan national) and the wifi bars turn green and the signal is strong - BUT - the weather app says not connected, the browser app (not the bridge) says no connection - BUT - the wifi on my 9700 sees the airport router and connects without a problem. Why can't the playbook apps recognize the connection in the playbook?

I have seen/read other similar posts, where the playbook "see's" the network, but is not able to connect to it. So it is probably not something you are doing wrong, or something wrong with your specific device.

I assume the fix is something else we can add to the "it is coming soon" list

Most free hotspots like the ones used at airports still require a basic level of web authentication in order to connect to the internet. In short, once you have established a connection through the Wi-Fi utility on the PB, open the web browser and attempt to open any webpage, you should get a re-direct that takes you to the airport's router's webpage and probably asks you to click a button to accept their terms of use. Once you click on that button, you are connected to the internet. Then you can switch to your weather app and it should work.

Maybe I did not wait long enough. The wifi set up recognized the airport 'beam' and connected to it. Other utilities in the PB (browser, weather) failed to recognize. Maybe a bandwidth issue.
