Can anyone offer me some good advice? I unfortunately got water inside my beloved PlayBook recently. Thankfully I quickly realised and was able to switch it off quickly and dry it out. Unfortunately ever since the WiFi reception has been very poor despite everything else working OK.

I have been looking online for a solution for the last few weeks but haven't found any good sound advice. No doubt there will be a great pearl of wisdom tucked away in one of these forums somewhere - but where? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Do I need to replace the WiFi antenna or is there something else that can be done?

Back up, wipe and see what happens. Also check the router (just in case). If nothing works try to see if RIM can help although I very doubt the warranty covers water damage.

The PB has a one year warranty to the original purchaser. It also has 90 free Tech support. I do not know how Rim deals with "quasi-tech support v. warranty"

If your PlayBook (or any electronic device) gets wet, a good way to dry it is to get rid of as much liquid as you can, then put it in uncooked rice and/or absorbent (litter box) pellets. Leave it for a few days in a moderately warm place.
