I have a 32gb PB and a 16gb N7. I was comparing the two by completing a speedtest and my N7 is pushing just over 21mbps and my playbook is pushing a little over 13mbps.

I have a 40mbps setup at my house with a Dlink 655 wifi router. I'm sitting about the 10ft away from the router so I know I have a strong connection. I was using my Internet provider speedtest Site to conduct the test.

Not sure why my Playbook is not running as fast as my N7. Any ideas?

I just reply to another thread like yours, wich compared the iPhone and the playbook network speed. It looks like the playbook is limited to 13mbps...

    It's not capped at 13.
    I'm using a old G only router.

Wrong ........ the playbook is not limited to 13mbps, I get almost 23mbps over a
    25mbps connection.

kidkamel ........ Are you using the same connection type 802.11n, 802.11g or 802.11b on both devices?

Both are set to connect at 802.11n. That's what is showing from my router Site.

I just ran another test on the PB and I'm pushing a little over 14Mbps so the 13 cap can't be true

My PB is setup the same as yours, my router is almost the same. My Channel Width is on Auto 20/40Mhz. It's either that or 20Mhz
The channel is on Auto Channel Scan. I switched it to Channel 8 to see if that makes a difference and noticed a minor difference. Thanks again

    kidkamel,

If you have a cordless phone base unit or handset near by it can cause problems also. Try changing the channel again from 8 to see if it makes a difference on another channel.
