If i were to leave for a droid tablet, it would be because of the apps I have purchased on my droid phone. I have been unable to find the BB equivalent of poweramp, and a fast keyboard (the default PB one on the latest beta is slow). with the latest beta I cannot downgrade back to official release (gives errors when i try), the browser crashes a lot more (not sure if it is flash or java or something). Also the lack of being able to add more memory to the tablet is a bit of a pain... phones have external memory slots, why not tablets?

Closest I have came to another tablet is my galaxy note. It works great but lacks the true multitasking of the playbook.

After RIM screwed up my 32GB and refused to fix it, I was ready to move. But my daughter is in Canada for a few months and I need to be able to video chat to her PlayBook, so I just got a replacement 32. This is not to say that when next I visit a Best Buy I will not pick up a Transformer Infinity - my son has one and it is very, very nice. RIM's idea of customer service is what will make me.

I'll wait for BB10 and decide after I see how it performs. If I switch, it'll probably be for a Samsung unit.

I was given a 16g Playbook at work. It made me realize how much more useful a tablet was than a laptop for simple media consumption -- web browsing, videos, etc. So I went and bought a 32g iPad because it has Netflix, it has better support for media, it has better and more apps in general. I didn't want to load up a work device with a ton of TV shows and movies so lacking a decent streaming media solution was really the final death knell for it.

The Playbook does almost everything I need except for one Android app called WiFi Analyzer.

Amazon Prime Video works great, but I prefer to copy TV shows or videos onto the device for the best experience.

I use my Playbook 75% and iPad 25%. Overall the Playbook OS suits me far better. I bought an iPad because sometimes I prefer the large screen experience and apps like iMovie, PS Touch and Skype aren't available on the Playbook.

you won't really find a lot answers here. if one switched to say IPAD, then he won't be active in this forum.

I'm sort of in the same boat. I have not been able to use my Playbook for 3 weeks now. I was sent a replacement for my failed original unit and have not been able to get it to work. I've been stuck in customer service loop every since. I agree with you. If I go elsewhere it won't be because of the device.

I may get the rumored iPad Mini, if the weight is less than 300g. I would still keep the PlayBook as my main tablet.

Wow thanks for the great responses, sp. "PlayBook 16/32 to 64!!"

Otherwise, I understand Android being the next choice.. They have good specs on many devices, many applications and also look good.

Some devices really have specs to envy, like I would prefer a high quality camera along with flash and USB OTG like some cheaper Android tablets have released within the hardware although limited use to certain devices like add-on USB 3G modem.

The keyboard on my 64GB PlayBook (although not beta OS) is SMOKING FAST!!!!!

P.S. That keyboard is my Bold 9900 via bridge.

P.P.S. - I've looked everywhere on my 9900, my old 9800, a couple of iPhones, and a few Androids that belong to friends - and have found ZERO phones that have memory slots - external OR internal. THAT WOULD BE SOME PHONE!!!

Infact I think tablets should come with SD card slots which run from the digi cams directly to the tablets and even well supported on all laptops..

On your 9900, take out the battery and look at the top of the battery compartment. That's where i put my 32GB microSD card. Most phones do indeed have memory slots.
