Are you downloading some files on any other devices attached to the Wifi? I find that will render the PB unable to obtain IP address.

Sounds like you need a better router or AP! Such activity on other connected devices shouldn't impact an AP's ability to service clients.

My other devices don't seem to have any problem, just the Playbooks... It's no big deal for me.

So which wifi network type (802.11 b/g/n) and security type (WEP/WPA etc) are you using?

    Hello,

Same problem with the IP adress. No problem until 2 weeks.
My playbook can't obtain an IP address and shut off wifi connexion. So no WIFI for the laptop or other. even alone the playbook stops everything. WPA2 access otherwise !
By phone, the FAI tried to fix it by changing channel, but nothing better
So I bought a new tablette and everything works good.

In a free WIFI hotspot, my blackberry was able to download origami browser and a few games.
If I can change nothing with my modem, can I download a program to fix everything, please ?

Sorry for my average english !
