Default Who DID NOT get a playbook this week?

Over the last week we have seen threads with all the playbbok being on sale everywhere. The question I have is how many people on the board missed out on getting one for one reason or another?

I.e. Ordered from Best buy only to have it cancelled and then missed out on buying somewhere else because it was to late?

No need to miss out on getting a BlackBerry PlayBook at a discounted price if those whom missed in the in-store sales and online websites are out of stock, simply order direct from Research In Motion - no sales tax, no shipping costs according to posters on this forum.

There are lots of PBs available on craigslist here for ridiculous prices

I wonder where they got them. Wow a brand-new, sealed, 16GB PB for 350$....No thanks.

Js8229...I think all of us will start seeing large numbers of PB on ebay, craigslist, etc from the people that picked up numerous PB and are looking at turning a good profit. I think after the holidays you will see a good chunk of them returned since they wont be able to sell them like they thought. Hopefully they get charged a restocking fee.

Even rim is having a problem with turning up a product with the pb...so I would imagine it would be much more difficult to do so on cl, ebay, and etc.

After my order from best buy was cancelled (64gb) I decided that that was a sign from the universe to hold off on buying one. Sure I could have called costumer service and complained for a 32gb, but I don't really see a use for a pb currently. Since rim is slashing prices, I figure I can always get one later even at a smaller discount. I probably will get one when I go to grad/prof school to read documents, study lecture slides, or watch southpark online while I am at the gym or etc. One hundred dollars here, two hundred dollars there...those are small things to worry about when it comes to productivity tools. I will probably buy a 16gb or the smallest sized tablet the second go around since I don't actually need massive amounts of storage.

One thing though. I don't like to buy things online because it complicates things when returning defective items. If rim doesn't restock them in stores, then that is a deal breaker for me. Call me old fashion, but that is just how I like to buy things, especially with electronics where many things can go wrong.

I myself didn't get one as I got one at the release date.
However I convinced someone to order one on their laptop...
Right in front of me.

I did not buy a PB this week because I Bought my 32GB PB the first week it was released.nI did, however, get a brand new Bold 9930 today to pair it with. My PB worked great with my old 9700 and it's even better now.

I did buy a 16GB Model for my wife about three weeks ago. I got Office Depot to price match, so it was $299. Then got a $200 giftcard which I used to get a camera I had my eye on. All in all, it was a great deal and she likes it as much as I do.

BTW, Though I have been reading the CB forums for a while, I finally registered and this is the first time I have posted anything. I look forward to being a part of the community.

I was going to buy one when I was at Best Buy but they were out of stock.

Now I'm considering an Android tablet so I can have the best of both worlds!
