    Default Where do I send my Playbook to get fixed?

    I have always had problems turning my Playbook on via the power button. It is flush with the top and when I push it nothing happens. Where do I send it to fix it?

    You have to contact RIM support and they will initiate the RMA process. See the BB webiste for your country.

    Wow, thanks for reminding me the PlayBook had a power button (only kidding), the contact information can be found on BlackBerry website

    - Hold the power button down for 5-10 seconds,
    - wait 2 seconds and tap the power button.
    Does the red light turn on with either sequence?
    -If not, your battery seems dead
    -If yes and the device won't boot up, open desktop manager and connect your device then hit the power button (like above). Desktop manager will prompt you to update your playbook os
    -Hit update to do a full os reinstall.
    You will lose all your apps etc and need to reinstall & configure everything unless you already have a backup

    The PB has a one year warranty to the original purchaser. It also has 90 free Tech support. I do not know how Rim deals with "quasi-tech support v. warranty"

    The PB is dead. Spent an hour on the phone with a tech at RIM and it will soon be on its way to them to fix. Thanks for everyones help.

    I will race you to the repair facility! I got an rma yesterday due to the poor battery life in Standby. Fingers are crossed that the trans-America excursion will be worth the effort.

    edited to add: Wow, they are fast. The RMA was authorized yesterday afternoon and I just returned (10:30am) and the box was on my porch for shipping back to them!
