Does anyone have any clue as to when the 4g models of the Blackberry Playbook will be available ? I have heard some complaints about the playbook , but I am still interested in purchasing one . If the 4g models come out soon then I can wait .
Still don't understand why anyone would want a 3G or 4G Playbook and have to pay for yet another data plan to use it ??? If you want to throw money away then give it to me

I agree, considering Verizons MINIMUM 4g/LTE data plan will be 50.00 in addition to whatever data plan you have for your phone. The coverage is pretty spotty here in CA I'm in no rush to 4G. Having said that, I will chime in on future predictions based on nothing. There will be no 7" 4g Playbooks. 4G will only be available on the 10" model coming out Q2 next year.

right.. no 4G this year... that's basically the end of RIM
If you are considering 4G, the Verizon MiFi (Novatel) 4G modem is small, can be a hot spot for 5 devices concurrently, is battery operated, and connects nicely to the PB. For me that makes more sense than a dedicated 4G PB as I can also use it as a 4G modem for my laptop and more. I may consider abandoning my tether data program for the bb ($45 for 4gb) and go for the lower 200mb plan ($15/mo) and use the verizon 4G/3G plan ($50 / mo for 5GB). Does mean an extra device needs to be carried, but it is small.
