If the price is approaching on $400+, you might as well buy one from Best Buy, Office Depot, Staples or Radio Shack... and save on the worry of carrying around $400+ in cash.
I've seen them as low as $300 on CL, but that might just be too good to be true...
I disagree. Buying a PlayBook at Best Buy, Staples, etc. for $400 means that he could be paying up to $425+ after tax (depending on where he lives) in the end. I don't know about you, but paying $75 more isn't worth saving "on the worry of carrying around $400+ in cash", IMHO. (This is assuming that the CL PlayBook is factory sealed)
As for me, I was lucky and got my factory sealed PlayBook 64GB from eBay for $285.

I have a principle with this: Buy from a retail store. Spend plenty of time testing it. Return without a hassle if there are problems. With CL, pawnshops, etc., you never know what you're gonna get. That's my two cents. Good luck.
Interesting how the 32GB and 64GB PBs are not holding price as well as the 16GB model. I suppose it means the extra storage is overpriced. Not unique to the PB, of course; taking the lead from Apple, many of the tablet makers have omitted a micro-SD slot so that they can gouge consumers on extra storage. In the future, when I can, I am going to patronize honest makers who include a micro-SD slot.
Just seen that BestBuy is selling 64GB refurbished for $200
I slammed on my breaks after reading this, pulled over, whipped out my trusty Torch, navigated to Best Buy and ordered one on the spot. WHEW! I've been one of the unlucky few who seemed to keep missing the deals.....CAUGHT THIS ONE!
Dang it! I feel ya! That has been my story until this morning (been wanting a personal 64g). Do this every day: wake up, roll over, check the Playbook forum, then browse through Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot and (ugh!) Shopblackberry for the deals.
I've gotten 3 16g models (gifts) at $200 in just this way.
