Don't need the hub. The notification system is fine as is for a tablet. More importantly, the hub is RAM intensive as there is a ton of multitasking taking place to run it. The PB simply doesn't have the resources to run the hub and provide us with the multitasking we currently enjoy at the same time.

Probably doesn't fit into the BB security paradigm.

    1. Make my coffee every morning.
    2. Listen to my wife when I don't want to.
    3. Wash my clothes.
    4. Pay my bills.
    5. Vacuum my house once a week

I had been thinking that was one more reason why it is not available. But is it really much different from plugging the pb into a usb port on a computer?

Well, when it's plugged into a USB drive on a computer, it's done very differently to pretty much any other USB storage device I have ever encountered. Instead of simply appearing as a USB mass storage device (like flash drives, most phones etc.), it sets up a network over USB, makes itself a network storage device, and then communicates with a PC side application which subsequently maps it as a network drive in Windows (not sure how it all works on other OSes). This means that all transfers go through the PlayBook's web server, which is very secure (it's the only process on the PB that runs as root, because it's secure enough to be trusted with that privilege), so there isn't much of a security issue there.

However, I don't think that's altogether highly relevant to USB OTG support; whereas a computer can be running code etc., most USB devices are "inactive", by which I mean, they store data but they don't have a processor etc., so can't actually run code. So all code that does anything would be running on the PB, and so subject to the PB security. Although it is possible to have USB devices with on-board processing capabilities etc. (the PSJailbreak and it's many clones spring to mind) But that would only really matter if there was some vulnerability in their USB stack (the code that would handle USB OTG connections), and provided the USB stack was not allowed to run as root, even that wouldn't be a problem. I don't think USB OTG has anything to do with security, I think there are other reasons (perhaps time constraints preventing it from having all bugs and quirks ironed out? in which case a future release might get it...)

a fully functional google maps with offline support and navagation
a proper tablet integration of bb10

a proper lock screen instead of just having password input, and thus lockscreen should have gestures to go right to messages and camera.

better ram management so that the wonderful playbook can have the illusion of having more ram

and able to take advantage of the over 60 battery saving tweaks so this massive battery in our wifi playbooks can shine

that's what I have so far lol

Seem like the three most common ask are
    Browser
    Apps
    Keyboard

Should be easy for Blackberry to deliver; they can do that with a bridging OS release.
I for one is hoping they release an interim os instead of waiting for the rumored bb10 tablet.
