Thread Author #1
What is improved in 2.0.1 ?
If you are tired of the thread where everybody says "downloading now"... this is the thread for those who have finished updating and have actually found something that was improved by the update.

This may get locked but so far I've noticed f**king rapid-fire picture taking abilities in the Camera app, along with the Browser not only NOT crashing on sites it crashed on before, but it's way faster too.

Huge browser improvement. And HBOGO works
And Android player actually closes properly so it doesn't use up RAM after it is closed. - 04-17-2012, 09:47 AM #4
The first thing I noticed was the speed of the browser. It is WAY faster... And I don't mean a little, I mean a lot. Haven't tried wifi yet, this is just through my 9700's 3G connection!
. Actually... I'd say the speed through my 9700 on 2.0.1 is honestly comparable to wifi on 2.0.0! Anybody else find this?
If my post was helpful, hit the thanks button!

Bluetooth improved, to say the least
Finally my Bluetooth stereo headset sounds as good as it does on my Torch. And, the constant glitch that switched them to mono is gone. At last I can use them.

Amazon Prime?
I am watching an HD video on Amazon (Prime) right now. That does not mean they all work but, this one is working. Although it is glitching a bit but we have a very high load on our network right now.

Are u able to sideload on this OS update?
- 04-17-2012, 10:12 AM #20
I have been watching battery usage since the update, using native messaging, bridge, android apps, browser, with and without wi-fi, and battery usage seems to be much improved. In previous release, it would sit at 1.x watts even when idle. Now, it drops right down to 0.0x watts every time.
I hope this is the new norm, I hated it when nothing was running, and in the morning the battery was dead.9900, PB64 - 04-17-2012, 10:15 AM #21
Really surprised the Podcast catalog is still here, considering they deleted the option from the phone app.

Word with Friends now has an audio bug, but it does overall seem snappier. The Ads now work though. :-/ Oh well I guess my wife can live with that. LOL!

PDFs that worked prior to OS2 and not after work again.
Still no file browsing to attach files to emails. Still a here's all your 2500 jpg's, good luck to you in finding that image for that client. My main gripe from day one still not fixed. - 04-17-2012, 10:19 AM #25
Android player HAS been updated, you'll notice it is version 2.0.1.30 as opposed to the 2.0.0.56 (I believe, need to double check with my videos) it was before
