Like many of us, I'm still using my PB daily. I have a lot of apps (some sideloaded, some native). With no way to back these up (as far as I can tell), what do we do when BlackBerry World for the PB goes away?

Seeing how BB is still cutting, I can't imagine they will keep it up forever.

After all, the PB came out almost 5 years ago.

I don't see them turning it off for a while yet though.

If they haven't shut it off yet, I doubt they will anytime soon. They've clearly got the same people running it as the BB10 app world. If you check the new releases section, you'll find bb10 apps that slip through and make it in. Obviously they fail to install though.

I have a more recent Android tablet, and an iPad, but I do still use the Playbook more, especially for Nbex and a few other apps.

Given that BlackBerry World is a portal for several devices, many older than the PB, I can't see that happening at all, unless BlackBerry were to go out of business and that's not likely either so long as they have other secure services and patents in their portfolio.
