Can anyone explain to me why certain websites will recognize the Playbook as a device thus opening a mobile site. For example, I want to use my Playbook to open the www.rdio.com site so I can play my music on playbook. However, it brings me to a page (which I presume it thinks I am using a mobile device that can render full Web pages) of which I can't do anything. Only has a phrase that this device is not supported.

But it is! I can view full Web pages! Is there any way to trick the sites otherwise?

Most sites use something called User Agents to determine who is "calling" them. Some blindly treat "odd" or other types of device as Mobile. Some browsers allow you to change the User Agent and convince the website you are a desktop.

There are some sites, hulu/netflix that use yet other schemes and they canNOT be fooled.
