It's weird that some people are reporting terrible battery life with the new update(s). Even when I have mine in standby charged at 100%, overnight the most drop I have is 5-6%.

The update might have upset the backlight timing and brightness.
Try doing a manual adjustment to shorten time and lessen brightness, these will increase battery time.

There have now been a couple of references to downgrading the OS 1.xxxx to a lower version. But so far no links to the process or to an offsite mention of the process has been posted. Mostly, it has been mentioned in reference to the rooting that you can always get back to 1.07 or something like that.

Could someone be more explicit with a link or reference? Thanks in advance.

You can't downgrade the OS from an official version that has been released.

(I'm not talking about downgrading from the 2.0 beta, i'm talking about 1.08 or whatever the current OS is)
