video chat issues/anyone else?
Hey everyone
not sure if anyone else is having this, i know a couple of people are...
but i have a couple people on the vid chat now, and whenever i try to connect, it rings the person, says connecting then stops and displays and error msg saying "firewall is preventing the connection" or something along those lines...
now i have no firewall on my router, and i even double checked that... as well for good measures i rebooted my router and modem to make sure 100% that was working fine....
anyone else having similar issues? or has someone come up with the answer to this issue?Check out my Theme blog

Is it possible that if you have it networked to your network that it could be the antivirus firewall that could block it? Also could check your router log and see if it says anything. Maybe it set to block certain ports that might be used.

I have not been able to get it to work either. I tried with a co-worker who is at BB World and got the firewall error as well.

so - update to my issue. me and my buddy got our pb the same day and been keeping up with the updates, phone is updated and have been following crackberry like it is my job!
So we live about 1 mile (1.6km) apart, and had our Video Chat working the first night the update came out - then the next day.. Firewall error!
After all the feedback on the site we both tried putting our PB in the DMZ and it just worked fine. I haven't yet tried the other router settings.
I hope they fix this issues as all three routers I have tried on only allows for one device to be in the DMZ
Has anyone checked to see if Linksys has a firmware upgrade for the routers?
thanks...
