I want to use my playbook for a friend that cannot make a funeral. I was hoping to use the camera to project the ceremony and the eulogy through to him - I have a playbook , but he does not. Is there a way to do this? I don't think Skype is on playbook yet, so I am not sure how to make this happen. Any suggestions?

And recent discussion suggested AOL IM or reelportal, reelportal had a free version but it's now 2.99 in app world and has bad reviews.

A few people have tried sideloading various android apps but appears not much success as yet, You would need a good wifi connection for the playbook, And good wifi/lan on the pc end.

If he could get hold of a playbook the video chat app is excellent as long as you both have decent wifi.

I'm afraid to say at the moment your best bet might be both get pcs or both get playbooks.

AOL AV AV by AOL - Let's video chat! not sure how good it works but you could do a trial run as it cost nothing.

Or you could just video the entire event and send off the video after the fact - not quite like being there or seeing in real time.

I used to use imo.im with my messenger or skype account, but lately the video won't activate. And something else to consider is that even though the video from the back camera lens is quite good, there is no zoom feature.

Wouldn't it be simpler to just use a laptop computer and use Skype?
