Default Using my Playbook as a phone

Is there a way to use my playbook like any other bluetooth device to take/talk on a call with? I've heard there are apps that allow Ipad users to use their Ipads as a phone. Is there anything out there like that for us Playbook users as well? Thanks in advance!

Nope no apps for that. BlackBerry Bridge may enable this on BB10. We have great microphones and speakers on the Playbook it can do calls. As we've seen in the QNX Car.

    Check the 4 minute mark.

    BlackBerry 10 is not late. It's early. @JMZNVS @BBRYFLOW

I can understand not having any apps that turn it in to a phone. What I don't understand is why it can not be used like any other bluetooth speakerphone/headset? I think it would make a great speakerphone. Come on all you rocket scientists, make a app/crack/way to make this work!

You gotta love the com business in America: total unorganized grab a$$.
I have a Torch 9850, multiple PBs, and a Verizon Jet Pack. I goes into a
local Verizon store to talk up a possible Verizon app for my PB and all I gets
is Huh? Not likely gonna shoot themselves in the foot. Here are the plus
sides: (1) away from head, (2) both hands free. On the minus: not as
private. Oh well! For me the real advantage of Verizon stepping in
would be that the app would be ultra dependable, bulletproof, and
    battle hardened. Doc Neutron

Just downloaded it and tried it out. Seems to work pretty good, thanks for the tip. Still wish I could use my PB as a bluetooth speakerphone though.

Panaton has a free app that can be used to make calls but I don't know how well it works.
