Is there any way now or in the future to attach a flatbed scanner to the Playbook via a USB adapter ? I know scanners use Twain drivers ect...so I am unsure if this would be possible. I have tried the Handy Scanner app...but as you can not crop before it saves to a pdf it is not very useful.
it isnt possible for now and this might not be ever. There is talk of enabling of USB host most but that might not be enough to do what you are looking for.
I like the idea as well, but I am not sure how this will work. Esp., since you need host support, and devs don't even have access to this kind of hardware hook.

We haven't seen the USB API so we can't be sure what can or cannot be done. But one thing for sure: no 3rd party USB drivers.
