I read somewhere before that os2.0 would likely support usb hard drives if you used a usb to microusb adapter. Does anyone know if this is true? Also, if so, how big of drives would be supported and what formats? I would be very interested if anyone knows.

I don't have the proper adapter either. I'm pretty sure somebody does and its just a matter of time until somebody posts a result.

Rim has not said you can do it with this itteration of the OS.... the Beta version that was routed with Dingleberry could use a usb thumb drive with the right adapter and bit of soldering.... Unsure with power requirements if you could still use it...

Just checked with thumb drive. No luck as expected. We knew it was possible to do with PB but only in a way described by dbmalloy. I don't know if RIM ever even mentioned such feature. It's actually in their own interest not to implement it as this might affect 32/64 GB Playbooks sales.
