Okay so whenever I try to buy anything that isn't free from blackberry world on my PB, it says "this purchase could not be completed. Please select a different payment method." So after I saw that the first few times I completely put in my credit card info again, thinking maybe the update to BBW made it so I had to put it in again. I did that but it's still saying the same "this purchase could not be completed" nonsense. Anyone know what I can do?

Same with me. It says I need to upgrade blackberry world. But comes up with an installation error if I try to download anything (free) it automatically pops up with an error. Is this their way of stopping PlayBook support?

I'm not sure but you'd think that with an update that the main purpose was to "fix blackberry world payment issues", you'd now be able to successfully purchase things from there.

Go to blackberry world, tap on the upgrade to bb, then, swipe from the top down, and it will show the payment option for you to verify. I did that. and was able to purchase easily.

I just now re-entered my credit card info doing what was said above and it still isn't working. If I click on the terms of sale thing it says it's unable to fetch the information. Doesn't seem to make any sense to me.

Just did a security wipe to try to fix the issue. Still no go.

I did another security wipe and used an alternate Blackberry account, and it worked. This is obviously not an optimal work around, because you'll lose all your apps, but I really needed the specific app. With the other account I was able to buy an app (Torque) using my credit card.

it says right on the BB World site that BB world won't work because of the EOL.
They suggest we buy a smart phone with BB10

I guess we need to set up a place to download playbook apps, other than the Android ports.

If you log into BBW from a PC and try and change payment options the following screen is shown, so it looks like it's been killed off

I just reauthenticated PayPal through BBW on my PB, and that worked fine. (Am in Canada.)

I just purchased an app in BW with absolutely NO problems. I upgraded to .1917 the day it came out. I am in Canada. Never had to reset payment options or anything it just worked normally. If the BW support had been withdrawn why the heck would they make .1917 update mostly for BW update? It makes no sense. They still want your money!

Wow. I'm glad to see finally that I'm not alone with this problem. I have probably $100 worth of apps and games that I'd love to eventually get. Wouldn't make sense if they discontinued BW playbook support because they could still potentially make money off of it. Not sure though.
