Yeah, I work at Best Buy Mobile and dealing with those Android phones all day was making me doubt my loyalty to the BlackBerry brand. Then I bought the Playbook when it was on sale, now I'm telling everyone that BlackBerry is going to be the best phones come 2012 (please don't make me look like a fool RIM). This device makes me realize the full potential of the QNX system, and RIM is ahead of the times with this device. People don't know how to use a device that doesn't require buttons nor something that can do what this device can do (presentation mode, true multitasking, BlackBerry Bridge, best browser for a mobile device, the ability basically play another OS within it, I could keep on going).
All that said, 2012 is the dawn of a new era of mobile computing.
The ability to use a different OS is not unique, except perhaps in the world of mobile devices.
i cant seem to put thisthing down lol i dont use my computer as much as i used to, i do everything on my PB. Browse, surf, watch, listen, play, share. Love the portability.
great. i thought i was the only one. good to meet other addicts aswell. best part is i dont need a second data plan when on the move. can just tether with bb.
Just remember to go to the meetings and work those steps; it works if you work it. Oh, and make sure your sponsor has atleast 50,000+ posts or more. One last thing, there is no 13th step.
My addiction is so bad that I have a problem going to the corner store without it. It's an extension of my phone and when I pick-up one I must pick-up the other. If you think the novelty is going to wear off you might be surprised. Mine hasn't since April 19. Unlike you I haven't forgotten TV but insteed use it to watch tv. Now with the SMS Bridge app I barely touch my phone. Now that winter is here I can finally use other pants besides my cargos. There's no way I'm leaving home without it.

What is it called? Sideloading? Does it work well? Is it the one that goes through email?
I'm sitting in a waiting room at a tire dealer waiting for a new pair of tires to be installed. When I got here, I was told they were very busy and that it would be between 2 and 3 hours. I said I'd wait knowing my BB and Playbook had fully charged batteries. There's no wifi here, but my phone has between 4 and 5 bars. My car is now ready. I can't believe 2 1/2 hours passed that quickly. The woman next to me can't believe her HTC Evo 3D has no battery left and I have plenty. The funny part is that she's been looking at my screen as I browse and email. My phone rang and the caller ID popup came up. When I hung up, she turned to me and simply said "That's very cool!". Gotta go pay for my tires now. This is an addiction I can live with and don't want a cure for.
I'm addicted to it. I deleted all the apps on my 9810 and don't use it for entertainment purposes anymore.I carry my playbook everywhere love how portable it is.
Quick follow-up to my previous post. The sales guy at the tire store showed me that my front brake pads need replacing. I was actually happy to know that I can go back to the waiting room to bridge some more on my Playbook and not concerned about the cost. So they're working away on my car while I tap away on my Playbook. The woman next to me moved across the room to sit next to an outlet to charge her Evo. Playbook is on 79% and my 9650 is at 70%.
my laptop used to do triple duty of playing movies, surfing, and development. Now it's just development... playbook is truely underrated on the interwebs.
