Two parallel polls - When did you buy your playbook(s) REDUX please revote!
NOTE: If you voted on the other poll please revote - I screwed up and did not allow multiple selections.
A lot of buzz and new blood - while we wait for the shelves to be restocked or orders to come in -
Multiple choices allowed if you own or are speaking for more than one playbook (two in the family, etc...)
Please be honest!!!
I am interested in knowing how the user base is growing.
Good info for developers.
Playbook owners only - open poll so it can be verified.
Dont miss the other twin poll:

Got it in May 2011, and been enjoying it ever since. Just wish updates would happen quicker.

Well I got mine in April, but bought 3 more this month as gifts. So I picked those 2 months, but wanted to mention the multi purchase... now I just can't wait for Christmas, and for them to open their gifts!
Are you really that bored to read my signature, or am I just that interesting to you? - 11-29-2011, 07:37 PM

How are you verifying ownership and purchase dates? Got an inside person at Rim.

Are you concerned?
Generally people have a post history and don't lie on their profiles.
Got an inside person at Apple?
You have a disproportionate amount of annoyance with your playbook, with others who speak positively about it, and seem to have a lot of difficulty when nobody other than a few share your frustrations. Given many are frustrated with RIM, including myself, but the vast majority are not as frustrated with their playbook.
Not saying anything, just an observation. My conspiracy theory is as good as yours.Last edited by blackjack93117; 11-29-2011 at 11:34 PM.

My annoyance is proportionate to its limitations for my needs and what was INTIMATED it would have. So since they are my needs, it cannot be disproportionate.

So it's looking like just in the last month at the lower price point Playbook has outsold the initial offering even without OS 2.0 - not surprising, the sales prices have been a steal, but very encouraging.
Will be interesting to see what happens next - but it's looking clear to me that playbook has a bright future, with 2.0 and the right price, and seems to be recovering nicely from the early bad press...with steady sales growth. - 11-30-2011, 01:28 AM #24
I'm bankin' on it... I still say this PB has a bright future and hope the Canandian Police Dept install these in their patrol units. It will open up a HUGE market.

I knew it was coming out early this year, but I had already a tablet (well 2 in fact). I kept an eye on the launch, but the price was a bit high to justify the purchase of another tablet. Plus I have to say that the reviews were not stellar.
But I was always uncomfortable with the iEnvironment and the iZealotism, (and a BB smartphone enthusiast) so I was still keeping an eye on the PB to discover that the price had been reduced (€329 here for a 16GB, i.e. about $450). So I went to Staples. The demo WAS working well and the sales guy positive. So I bought. And how good that decision was! When I use my previous tablet (one has been given to a colleague, the other one we kept for when we want a larger screen), I find it very rigid, with little multitasking and no swiping. But it is nice now and then, at home, to read on a bigger screen, so the other tablet has a use. But for 16/7 use, for a BB phone user, the PB is a tremendous piece of equipment.

so we bought another one so sharing didn't hurt so much.
