Right...Twitter refuses to work in the standard PB browser and I cannot find a free app on the App World for tweeting using the tablet. Don't really see what I can do, but do I have any other option?

You can sideload the Android app. That's what I did. Or you can buy Blaq for the PlayBook. Everyone seems to love how Blaq works

Blaq works best!! I have Twitter sideloaded and still prefer Blaq. Well worth the money!

I didn't particularly like Blaq, but it's a matter of taste.
Sideloading Android apps has been streamlined; long story short: search for an app called DDBD.
