I ditched my home desktop which contained my copy of iTunes with all my burned and purchased music, about 18GB worth. I transferred all of it to my iPod I've been using it to play it, and an old retired work laptop for browsing at home.

Can I transfer my music directly from the iPod to the Playbook without having a PC with iTunes on it?

lol yeagh..... you cant because jobs wont let you. have you ever open the ipod as hard drive on the pc and took a peak inside? theres nothing there. steve jobs has all your files and he knows everthing about you, no one is safe.

p.s. i know its just the way it is. but he's still watching.

Use senuti or ripit2 to get you files onto a pc. Also, you can use windows explorer as the files are actually there contrary to popular belief.

As xander noted, iPod transfer can be done via a computer, with or without iTunes. But if you already have the music files on that old laptop, transfer them from that machine to the PlayBook and save a step.
