They have been working on this forever, they are so ready, or should I say I am.

I hope they don't sleep for a week.......it took/taking them long enough to release the damn phone

I don't think they've slept for a while. And I don't think they'll be sleeping for a bit after.

One thing I have heard about Thorsten from my friends who work there is that he's much, much more focused and they aren't being pulled in 1,000 directions at the same time.

I honestly think they are ready. They know they have to do this right, and withe increase in stock price, it looks like the marketplace has some degree of confidence.

They just have to be better than the new windows 8 mess, and a fresh idea over the stale ios.

Thorstein is probably practicing his presentation along with the team.
Jan 30 will be f*cking epic! - 01-24-2013, 11:10 PM #13
RIM's teams have had time to take group photos (https://twitter.com/sebmarineau) so I think they're in good shape, I hope they can spend some quality time with family and to get some credit from the world for the hard work they've been doing.

Things at RIM HQ over the past 2 weeks have calmed down according to my friend. Most staff have been back to a 5 day work week since the beginning of January.

I assume they are just ironing out some minor bugs and testing how they are going to pull the switch on the new BlackBerry World etc.
I hope Torsten is not vain enough that he thinks he can pull off the presentation. He should just introduce people because he is not very dynamic and he is not very charismatic. He is not a Steve Jobs type. He is more like that bald guy from Microsoft.
