My sister was using my PB and I forgot to tell her not to let the battery go below 20%. She did, and now I can't revive it. I've tried charging it overnight. I've tried the hard reset several times. I've even tried using DM but it's not even sensing a connected device. Is there anything I'm missing??

Do a search on "stack charging".

Second on pacoman's stack charge suggestion -- for a more precise search you might try "playbook stack charge".

Just today I revived my own PB via this method...

    Stack charging didn't work. ugh...

The LED doesn't light up at all, not even a flicker.

Have you tried a hard reset? Hold down the power button and the up volume key for 15 seconds while it is plugged in to a charging source. Also check hour chargers... I have gone through three of them. The PlayBook seems hard on them. Those missing led's seem worrisome. It is eithe that the batteries are Really dead or your PlayBook. I'd keep at the stack charging... Plug it in for 15 seconds, unplug it and repeat until you see signs of life. Good luck!

I've even tried different chargers, so it's not the charger.

It may be as simple as a loose micro-usb cable connection --- jiggle it a little bit.

The micro usb does seem a little loose. Could it be that? I've tried wiggling it though, no luck. sad...I bought the PB when it first came out. It can't already be dead, right?

If the LED light does not even lit up, then it is probably a loose micro-usb connection.

Is there any fix for this? I'm thinking no?

A few times my pb has gone to almost 0% charge and I never have issues. I simply plug it in and let it charge...

    Your battery might be toast

There are only so many possible problems. Try reading these 2 webpages first. Charge it overnight and if still no LED, then press ONLY the power button for 20 seconds AND with the charger plug in.

KB27705-BlackBerry PlayBook Power - Battery charge and discharge characteristics

Playbook dosent charge - BlackBerry Support Community Forums

If nothing works, then probably loose micro-usb connection. You can take the Playbook apart and resolder the loose usb port. Or you can buy a rapid charger that uses the magnet connection instead of the micro-usb connection.

What happens when u plug the charger in that came with the playbook? Does the red light not come on?
No light comes on when I plug it in. Nothing. I have been using the original PB charger. I've also tried several different chargers over the last day. I know the original PB charger works because if I plugged it into my cell, the battery started to charge on my phone. I'm so disappointed. I'm going to leave it plugged in for a couple of days and cross my fingers it somehow comes back to life.

And (I know u probably did) but u held the power button down for 10 seconds right?

Since you have already put the Playbook on a charger for a long time and still no LED, have you try to "force a charge" by pressing only the power button for 20 seconds WHILE you have the charger plugged in --- as per the RIM webpage.

I have. No luck. I've tried the 3 button reboot, stack charging. I'm out of new things to try.

If you have a hardware problem RIM will try to get it fixed over the phone. If they can't help you over the phone, they will set you up for a replacement. No credit card needed. Call them even if you bought it at launch. It's close enough to the one year warranty.
I think tech support is more for set up problems.

Thank you so much for letting us know that it's alive! We get so many threads that peter out with no info as to resolution; thanks for completing the process.
