A technological cul-de-sac?
All praise to the blackberry PlayBook!
A highly capable platform, with an appstore rapidly winning the race to the bottom of the pile.
No Skype, No Spotify, No Streaming TV.
But you can! The ever hopefuls cry, there's an update, coming soon!
But you can't really. If you're going to run another platform then you may as well use that, the playbook is but a convenient inconvenience.
But there's a beta version of Spotify, that doesn't really work.
The default browser is clunky and very basic compared to everything else.
I've been patient, I've persevered but for how much longer?
Why the **** should I "keep the faith"??? - 02-04-2013, 01:04 PM #2
Use the force Luke, use the force. If you like it or not you have inadvertently become a Blackbarian and are doomed just like the rest of us. You have two mentors watching over you at all times through your journey. One is kbz1960 and the other Uncle Remus. They are here to make my life **** but will aid you through your troubled times. Once you accept that all is lost and realise that all resistance is futile, you will learn quickly to doubt your sanity and your mentors will be no help to you.
As for the main content of your post I haven't got the faintest clue what it means so I suggest that you, or I or both of us have some brandy!

Re: A technological cul-de-sac?
Oh man. This again? If it doesn't work for you now or when you got it you should never have kept it solely on hope. Mine works nicely for me fine but I understand that not everybody is going to be able to utilize it because of missing fave apps or whatever the issue. You should have sold it and jumped over to whatever tablet does what you need it to instead of waiting if you are just going to complain. The PlayBooks app development was doomed as soon as it dropped its pricing. Devs just figured it was dead so why bother. It will be better with BB10, I'm sure, but even that is speculation. I would suggest a nice samsung galaxy tab. Or just shut it and wait patiently like the rest of us.
Edit: like the rest of us hopeful lovestruck fools.... - 02-04-2013, 02:28 PM #4
Glad I don't understand what's going on here. It might tempt me to drink more!

Browsers are made for larger screens. On a small device everything is about the apps, precisely because they adapt data to small screens. The browser is just a makeshift, when you don't have an app for a particular task.
But everybody knows that. It's only on Crackberry that it is denied.
Sorry I can't write more, I have to use Trulia on my Android tablet.
