i got mine last week. ive been through all the week to play with mine. what i can say that playbook was awesome and i love it so much!
i just updated my playbook yesterday to os2.0 from 1.0.8.6067 (official). maybe you all had facing with some problem with this beta os.
just wanna ask, most of you are using official os (1.0.8.6067) or beta 2.0 for your new playbook?
for time being, which one are you really satisfied with?
Still rockin' the official 1.0.8.6067 version. Where I'm at, it's a pain in the a$$ to try and download nearly anything so I won't be beta testing anything until I'm back in the land of mega-bandwidth.
.6149 has me hooked, sure i have the rare browser crash, but like i said its rare. I mainly multi-task with mine by using it to control itunes so i have music around the house, while i brows the web and read my many forums throughout the day. If i am close"within another room" close to my pc ill listen to pandora on the browser cause the bluetooth doesnt connect very far.
Newest beta - for folders to organize apps in.
Beta's always have more instabilities and sometimes require wiping & reinstalling all apps.
I always enjoy challenges of beta use.
Recommend new users wait for mature OS2.

Why does everyone want an android player? Am I missing something?
Not if you're asking.
But seriously, yes. For those of us very disappointed in lack of apps, RIM decided to emulate Android OS on the PB as an app. As it stands the new OS2 will allow some Android apps to work on the PB. Pretty neat idea considering it's been months of the PB release and still very important apps have not been developed. An example would be Skype.

well i HAVE to use beta 2.0. 1.0.8 offers absolutely nothing. at least with the beta i can sideload android apps.

I upgraded to 2.0 and really liked the ability to organize things into folders. Some of the Android apps were neat but I ended up downgrading back to 1.0.8 because I wanted to be able to video chat. I gave my in-laws and mother each a PB for christmas and we will use the video chat function so my kids can talk to their grandparents.
If not for the video chat I would have stayed with 2.0.
