- co-ceos announce certain things late, and deliver them very late.
About angry birds, I think we will never see it natively on the PB. Unfortunately.
1-so much bad publicity about the death of RIM
2-it should be here already
3-SuperMonkeyBall was announced 2-3y ago for the first OpenGl BB phones. Never made it.09-23-11 04:08 PMLike 0 -

Probably a pretty accurate description, but you left out the part of them using their playbooks to express their hate prior to staring off into space, getting up once a day to mark their calendars, grab a snack from the fridge, then stare into space some more, like Putty on Seinfeld. lol.
.09-23-11 04:14 PMLike 0 - besides hatred is abit harsh... it be only a bit of tech... a better term would be annoyed with the powers that be when they can not stick to their word.. the device itself is used by me on the road all the time.. it just could be better..09-23-11 04:18 PMLike 0

we also need the ability to change the browsers user agent.. may help with the ability to have the full web.(except anything with silverlight and the ability to sign into crackberry on the pb without the keyboard freaking out)09-23-11 05:09 PMLike 0 - . i take the playbook with me to work all the time.. but for simple surfing on the sofa after work.. i tend to use the transformer.. dolphin seems to work better than the native pb browser..

By the way - I thought summer was officially over after Labor Day weekend? Here in the states anyway...09-23-11 05:18 PMLike 0 -
- well rim is in Canada.. and summer ends here when hockey starts.. and preseason games have already begun..
btw.. rapid charging dock was built by drunken gnomes..09-23-11 06:03 PMLike 0 - so anyone who complains is a person who hath nothing better to do.. and are to be ridiculed?? sad that is.
The playbook is a 1/2 finished device that is 6 months old.. while we should of and did know it was unfinished.. we were informed that this would be brought up to speed over the summer. DID NOT HAPPEN!. What are we supposed to do.. stiff upper lip and all that crap..I hate to be lied to...
But this is what the supposedly majority of PlayBook's users wants us to do i.e. keep our complaining mouth shut off... and wait patiently... and pretend that PB is really the best...
I don't know how they do the pretending things, but for me, only real improvements can shut me off...09-23-11 11:47 PMLike 0 - Just to address your analogy, I get my chickens from Murray McMurray somewhere out in Iowa or Nebraska. They'll send you a crate full of cute little chicks as no one in their right mind would sell someone a box of fertilized eggs and say good luck with the incubation.FF22 and fatherslot like this.09-24-11 08:08 AMLike 2

- I went out to staples the other day, and they have a nice little kiosk setup with many different tablets surrounding it which you can play around with... So I grabbed the 10" samsung... It has the latest android software running on it... The hardware looked VERY impressive, the screen and OS homescreen looked really neat (android)... But as I started to navigate around the OS, open apps... Switch between apps, etc etc... I found myself EVER MORE impressed by QNX and the awesome job RIM did with the playbook... The droid OS seemed powerful in all the different widgets and gizmos popping out at you everywhere, but man alive it felt clumsy!!
So my advise to any/all who are whining and complaining... Go try out the competition... You'll be thankful once grabbing your playbook and flying around the OS with ultimate ease....
Now all we need is v.2.0 and Android apps... We'll be set!!! Bring on October!!!
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com09-24-11 09:58 PMLike 0 - Get over it. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about, I love my playbook as it is & any updates will come as & when they're ready to be released. I'd rather have an update that has been tested correctly with no faults than have something not tested properly & is then released with errors just to satisfy moaning minnies like yourself

[email protected] ----> Send09-25-11 07:14 AMLike 0 - I looked at a PlayBook when it was first released (it was around my birthday) and while it was better in some ways than the iPad (multi-tasking, sound), and it did some things the iPad STILL CAN'T do (flash video for instance) the verdict as a consumer looking for the best all-round tablet; the PB is in no way equal to the iPad, not even with the promised 2.0 software, it's not even close.
If RIM would have done a focus group test this device they would have found that the product is worth $250-400 in the minds of most consumers. Had they done their homework, they might have had sense enough to keep it out of the consumer space and market it to road warriors for store sales/ pp presentations, media consumption on planes and airports, an extension of the BB phone, and the ideal device to surf 13 minutes of internet porn in your hotel room at the end of a long day (because it can be held easily with one hand).
I am a loyal BB user and I still buy their products. But I NEVER buy their promises.09-25-11 07:48 AMLike 0 - Does RIM send their updates out to developers to test or is it all in house? Just curious. I know Apple releases OS major updates early to developers before it goes gold. 2.0 should solve some of the PB shortcomings but it may be too late
Good things may come to those who wait but also time waits for no one, wait too long and miss out..09-25-11 08:05 AMLike 0 - Good luck waiting. Chances are these updates will be pushed back and back, if you go by the track record RIM has. Playbook is just not meeting their desires and expectations, therefore its probably getting a backseat. I hope RIM suffer long time for this egregious error. The company's reputation has suffered greatly and thus its future profitability has been compromised. I'm not saying one issue, however egregious, destroys a company.09-25-11 08:11 AMLike 0
